Commercial reverse osmosis water fountains represent the most advanced solution to guarantee safe and high-quality water in offices, staff canteens, hotels, and food service businesses. Ideal in areas with hard water or unwanted taste, these units remove impurities, sediments, salts, and bacteria through semi-permeable total purification membranes, ensuring clean, healthy water ready for immediate consumption.
Furthermore, reverse osmosis purified water fountains integrate cooling and rapid dispensing systems, offering instant chilled, ambient, or sparkling water, combining efficiency, hygiene, and sustainability. They are the perfect choice for companies, institutions, and hospitality spaces seeking to maximize water quality, reduce bottle waste, and ensure food safety.
Available models by installation type:

At MBH, we are committed to sustainability and savings. We offer professional mains-fed water fountains that eliminate the logistics of water cooler bottles. We advise on the type of filtration needed (activated carbon or osmosis) based on the water quality in your area and supply the necessary filter replacements and CO2 bottles for maintenance.
A POU (Point of Use) fountain is a dispenser that takes water directly from the public mains, filters or purifies it instantly, and serves it at the desired temperature. Unlike bottled water coolers (which require changing heavy 20L bottles), these units offer an unlimited, hygienic, and plastic-free supply, using high-efficiency compressor cooling technologies.
Installing a professional fountain transforms water management. It brings great financial savings by eliminating the cost of bottled water; improves sustainability by reducing plastic waste; guarantees consistent quality with neutral taste thanks to filtration; and offers total convenience with chilled, ambient, or sparkling water always available.
It needs three basic things: a mains water connection (like a washing machine), a standard electrical outlet (230V) for the cooler, and, in osmosis models, a nearby drain for reject water. Non-osmosis models do not always require a drain if they have a manual drip tray.
The fountain has an inlet to connect a food-grade CO2 bottle (carbon dioxide). Internally, a carbonator mixes the gas with pressurized cold water before serving. When the gas runs out, simply change the CO2 bottle.
It means the machine has two taps or buttons: one for chilled water (compressor cooled between 4º-10ºC) and another for ambient water (room temperature) or hot (for tea), depending on the model configuration.
To ensure water quality, it is recommended to change sediment and carbon pre-filters every 6-12 months. The osmosis membrane usually lasts longer, between 1 and 2 years, depending on inlet water hardness and daily consumption.
Technically they are the same. The countertop model is ideal if you already have kitchen furniture or a bar counter and want to save floor space. The floor-standing model is autonomous and aesthetic, perfect for corridors, waiting rooms, or receptions where there is no auxiliary furniture.
Yes, it is excellent. Osmosis removes up to 99% of contaminants, chlorine, microplastics, and excess minerals. It is light water, with very weak mineralization, perfect for drinking and cooking, similar to the best bottled waters.
They use compressors similar to a fridge. They can cool water down to 4ºC - 8ºC. The cooling capacity (liters/hour) varies by model, but is usually sufficient for filling pitchers or bottles continuously.
No, they are quite quiet. The only noise they make is the soft hum of the compressor when cooling the tank (same as a domestic fridge) and the sound of the pump when dispensing water.
No, that is the big advantage. By connecting to the mains, the supply is infinite. You will never run out of water and won't have to manage orders, storage, or recycling of plastic bottles or large jugs.
If the power goes out, the electric pump and the cooling system will stop working, so no water will come out (or it will come out without pressure and at room temperature, depending on the internal design). When the power returns, the equipment restarts automatically.
